What We Need:
We are seeking a focused individual to drive continuous improvement efforts within our production and maintenance environments, thereby integrating both our maintenance and manufacturing teams to drive solutions to technical problems with a calculated, hands-on approach. This individual by nature must be inquisitive, detail-oriented and a self-starter.
Some responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
•Supervises all maintenance employees, ensuring safety, quality and productivity.
•Reviews and recommends the hiring of all maintenance employees. Responsible for the completion of employee performance coachings, coordination of necessary PPE for maintenance and, in conjunction with Human Resources & Facilities Maintenance Manager, recommends wage increases and/ or change of position responsibilities for maintenance staff.
•Coordinates the weekly preventative maintenance (PM) program & ensure full completion.
•Coordinates with Production Management and communicates all weekly maintenance job procedures to maintenance staff.
•Coordinates with Facilities Maintenance Manager, larger projects to maintenance staff.
•Assists with capital requests, including obtaining quotes, vendor coordination, planning, etc.
•Fabrication – operate and maintain tool room equipment ◦Including but not limited to: lathe, mill, press, saw, welding, drill press, fixtures, jigs, hand tools
•Actively troubleshoots and repairs, mechanical and electrical, designs and implementation ◦Including but not limited to: cleaning, lubricating, assembly/disassembly, adjustments
•Reads blueprints, sketches, and charts
•Uses calipers, micrometers, multimeter, and other calibrated measuring tools.
•Performs routine maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM).
•Purchases maintenance, mechanical and electrical, supplies and tooling.
•Design systems and components, including layouts
•Prepares CAD drawings for projects, drawing, maintaining, and organizing; assists with CAD Manufacturing prints, drawing, maintaining, and organizing
•Utilizes Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
•Assist with manufacturing improvements (design and implementation) ◦Coordination with manufacturing personnel (Supervision, Production Mgmt., Foaming, Production Technical Coordinator)
◦Suggests and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product while recommending changes in working conditions and modifications to machines and equipment for optimum efficiencies, including new product introductions
•Performs other facility/maintenance/manufacturing functions as required.
Who We Are Looking For:
•An individual with a high school diploma is required; trade or technical certifications are preferred.
•An individual with at least 10 years facility/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, and hands-on equipment repair, electrical/mechanical, machining knowledge, and engineering techniques.
•An individual with a minimum of 10 years of experience in design and fabrication.
•An individual with at least 5 years of experience using CAD and/or SolidWorks certified.
•An individual with PLC experience is preferred
•An individual who is experienced using the Microsoft Suite Package
•An individual who is familiar with NFPA, OSHA, and Electrical standards and how to interpret them
•An individual who is able to perform basic math calculations
•An individual with excellent oral communication skills who speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens and gets clarification and responds well to questions.
•An individual with excellent written communication skills who is able to write clearly and informatively.
•An individual who is able to lift, carry and handle objects weighing 50-to-100 pounds. Climbing ladders and working in confined spaces is required.
•An individual who is able to operate aerial platform equipment, working at a high height.
