SUMMARY: In the assigned area of shop and warehouse, general repair and maintenance responsibility to ensure the production requirements for the facility are met. Travel throughout the facility either by foot or riding an electric operated pallet jack or tugger unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual must have the ability to perform the responsibilities listed below. The list is not all inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but are intended for an understanding of the purpose of the position. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same-store sales and profits.
Perform equipment maintenance projects as assigned. Required skill:
Knowledge and experience in all phases electrical from 24 volts to 480 volts.
Experience in maintenance and repair of electric industrial trucks.
General knowledge of hand tools.
Experience in maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers.
Knowledge of general OSHA safety rules.
Able to comprehend and write out work orders.
General welding and cutting skills.
Knowledge of wear to parts for preventive maintenance.
Must own tools.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma preferred; minimum of 2 years industrial mobile equipment maintenance experience required as defined in this job description.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and speak fluent English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence relating to the position. Must be able to read blueprints.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic math, geometry, and algebra.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Posses the ability to work with coworkers and gain mutual respect with a common goal of increasing sales and profitability.

Must be able to work in heights up to 50ft. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate safely warehouse mobile equipment.

Indoors, with adequate cooling, heating, and adequate lighting. Outdoors as needed. Working in a warehouse environment with moderate noise due to industrial mobile equipment operation and varying temperatures based on the assigned work area. Temperatures will vary based on outside temperatures for the non-air-conditioned section and cool temperatures ranging from -15 to the upper 40’s for the perishable sections. Working with and around maintenance tools and equipment.
